The competencies of IKS Energy are as multifaceted as the types of energy production and use. Since 1960, we have specialized in structural engineering services, specifically in power plants and industrial buildings, both at national and international level. Employing a workforce of more than 100 highly qualified specialists, we provide our clients with competent and professional planning and consulting services related to civil engineering, power plant technology and special areas (IKS).

Our range covers all technical planning aspects–from property and infrastructure planning to support and steel structure planning through to special competencies such as dynamics and fixing systems.

Current examples of our competencies include the support structure planning for a steel rolling mill in Venezuela or the basic design and parts of the detail design for an aluminum rolling mill in China. We are also currently involved in planning the support structure for two coal-fired power plants in Europe which are built as dual block units.

Our solutions benefit not only our external clients. Our know-how is incorporated in numerous HOCHTIEF projects, and we pass on our expertise in advanced and further training measures as well as a number of committees and expert groups.
