HOCHTIEF has been operating a branch in Austria since 2005. Following the acquisition of several major projects, HOCHTIEF Construction Austria was established in 2007 as an independent but wholly owned subsidiary of HOCHTIEF Solutions AG.

Since 2008, HOCHTIEF Construction Austria has served within HOCHTIEF Solutions AG as the competence center for earthworks and road construction, offering its know-how both at home and abroad – and to the Group as well. In fall 2010, HOCHTIEF Solutions Bulgaria, founded in 2002, was added to the company as a branch. From their bases in Vienna and Sofia, the two units now bundle their competencies and offer solutions for complex projects in Southeast Europe.
