Large bridges

Our services and references include, among others, arched bridges, tied arch bridges, incremental launching bridges, cantilever bridges, top-down construction, cable-stayed bridges in reinforced concrete, prestressed concrete, steel and composite construction for roads and rail links.

One example of our construction execution competence is the more than 440-meter-long and roughly 28-meter-wide valley bridge St. Kilian. The bridge forms part of the A73 highway in Thuringia. With a height of up to 33 meters over the valley, its superstructure consists of a steel composite structure that rests on a grid of steel pipes and cast iron nodes. This bridge was a pilot project for the introduction of DIN expert reports. The structure won the ECCS European Steel Design Award in 2008.
