HOCHTIEF Construction Bulgaria
With its local business unit, HOCHTIEF Construction has been registered in
Bulgaria since 2002 and is based in the capital Sofia. HOCHTIEF already realized
important projects in Bulgaria back in the 1930s, including the Ministry of
Justice and the German School in Sofia.
The newly created business unit was involved in the Simitli project where HOCHTIEF was responsible for the demolition of 38 military buildings, conservation of 22 buildings, conversion and renewal of five buildings as well as for infrastructure measures.
The company's most recent project in Bulgaria is the construction of a water treatment plant for the city of Rousse. After completion of the works near the country's border with Romania, the plant will purify the wastewater of 240,000 local residents.
